Stiplastics chosen to develop and manufacture Osiris carrying cases for pharmaceutical company ALK, the world leader in allergy treatment. Made from a single piece of injection-moulded plastic, the case has an innovative system, eliminating the need for protective foam. In-Mould Labelling technology is used for the label to create a robust surface for product-use recommandations. In addition, the entire case is composed of prolypropylene, a single, completely recyclable material.

This new carrying case also meets the crucial requirements for this type of packaging :

STIPLASTICS is the very first company to offer a complete IML range of products, and a really specific one, especially adapted to the dosage. The IML technology is proposed for dosing cups, Spoonbox® spoons, but also for any developed products (e.g. the travel kit for ALK allergy solutions) or partially developed products (bottle caps, transport containers for biological samples)… possibilities are endless! The offset printing technique enables high-resolution four-color printing. In addition, each side can be decorated from one label (top, bottom, front and back). The IML’s devices offer the possibility to differentiate yourself from your competitors, and are perfect to launch a product or promote a mature one!

IML makes it now possible to integrate technical specificities that were limited in the past due to certain properties of construction materials. For instance, it is possible to print a UV- or oxygen proof label to decorate the container while keeping intact the contents. Decor by injection IML (In-Mould Labelling), is very present in food and diary industries, but not in the industries of the health. For the first time, Stiplastics uses it on dosing products for pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. With the possibility to adapt it to any type of product (measuring cup, measuring spoon, spoonbox, spatula..) !

The principle is to insert a decorated label into a mould and then to inject plastic in the mould. The decorated label becomes an integral part of the plastic product, It can be now colourful, interesting and attractive, with always a certified precision, An innovation that revolutionizes dosing products!
• An easier reading, a precision certified by Pharmacopoeia standards: the effect of transparency in the background is deleting, it’s easier to read.

Stiplastics has received the label « Pack Innovation 2010 » for its IML (In Mould Labelling) innovation for dosing cup and dosing spoon. This label has been awarded on the Packaging fair « Emballage » in Paris, November 2010.

Among the 243 innovations proposed by Emballage 2010 exhibitors, Stiplastics products have been selected by a Committee of specialists in packaging (journalists, experts and designers). The Jury has been convinced by the innovative aspect of the IML technique for pharmaceutical dosage application. Stiplastics has developed a process that allows a dosing product to receive communication while respecting the precision of dosage certified by Pharmacopoeia standards.  A great success for Stiplastics’ team, who has been working on these new products for several months!
